Strikingly echoing Hamlet, the adventurer, courtier, swordsman and poet Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, led a life of scandal and tragedy.

He killed a servant, abandoned his wife, got his mistress with child, was imprisoned in The Tower, fought the Armada, was maimed in a duel and died bankrupt. Equally envied and admired, his own writing suddenly stopped with the invention of... 'William Shake-speare'.

Now his spirit returns to tell his story!

Award-winning solo performer George Dillon is accompanied by multi-instrumentalist, Charlotte Glasson, and directed by Denise Evans.
