Bone
by John Donnelly
directed by Anita Sullivan
"We are each other's angels"
Three characters: one pivotal day. Meet Jamie on his last night out before being posted to Iraq, Helen as she leaves her dead farm, Stephen on a mission to reclaim the woman he loves. Their stories interweave, almost touch, always resonate. A tale unfolds of disco-dancing, bridge-jumping, kebab-throwing, sheepdog-poisoning, self-immolation and love. Bone is moving, funny, frightening and ultimately redemptive: a roadmap for overcoming grief.
Performed in promenade (80 mins long)
