Amadeus

Amadeus

by Peter Shaffer

directed by Mark Wilson

Don't come to Amadeus expecting a stage version of the film, or even a stage version of the stage version. But do come if you want to experience the power and intimacy of a promenade production, a design style that is anything but 18th century, and an approach to casting that relies upon an actor's ability to create a character's spirit and temperament irrespective of his or her gender. An extraordinary man deserves an extraordinary production, Amadeus gets his in July.
