What happened to you when you were at school? What did you learn? Who did you learn to be?

"Either you accept the system, or you try to change it. There's no alternative."

"Why not? Why not both? Pretend to do one, while you really do the other? .I'd have the last laugh. I'd be revenged."

Set in a 1930s English public school for boys, this is a play about love and lust; idealism and pragmatism; betrayal and sacrifice; fear and pride. When its characters are forced to confront the reality of life outside the school walls, their pre-conceived ideas about the world they imagined they'd live in and the men they thought they'd become are changed forever.
