The Frogmore Poets 30th Birthday
in association with New Venture Theatre
Back in 1983 the Frogmore Tea-rooms in Folkestone, once a favoured haunt of H G Wells, were frequented by a group of young graduates with little money, few prospects - and literary aspirations. Thus, with liberal doses of a heady cocktail of coffee, enthusiasm for the written word and the peculiar West Folkestone air were The Frogmore Papers coaxed into being.
Celebrate the 30th birthday and 81st issue of the magazine that introduced readers to the likes of Katy Darby, Sophie Hannah and Tobias Hill, with readings from Maria Jastrzebska, John McCullough, Michaela Ridgway and founding editor Jeremy Page.
