Talk
by Mark Wilson
A Sweetspot Theatre Company production - directed by Emma Kilbey
Sweetspot are extremely proud to present the world premiere of Mark Wilson's Talk. This haunting and affecting play focusses on the Victorian artist Richard Dadd, a manic depressive admitted to Bethlem Hospital (later known as Bedlam) after the murder of his father. Conflict over the nature of his treatment and the poignancy of his relationship with another patient make for a disturbing yet revelatory journey for Dadd.
A wonderful piece about hope, the isolation and anguish of mental illness and the overwhelming need to tell the stories that make us who we are.
